PT202: 2 Day Chiang Rai and the Roof of Thailand tour

Tour Overview

If you have limited time to spend in Chiang Mai then these two full days of touring will maximize your time while you are in the North of Thailand. You will visit Thailand’s most famous national park, Doi Inthanon, home to Thailand's highest peak as well as spectacular views over un-spoilt jungle and spectacular waterfalls. While in the park you will also get a glimpse of Akha hill tribe life. The second day will be an early start for the drive up to the top North and the legendary Golden Triangle area of Thailand. Here you will get to see the mighty Mekong river on its long flow from China to Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. You will also have the option of a boat trip to the Laos side to pick up a few Laos souvenirs. A visit to Chiang Saen ancient city, an Akha hill tribe, Yao hill tribe and the Thai border town of Mae Sai where you can get a glimpse of Myanmar (Burma) on the other side of the river are also included on this two day itinerary.

Pickup from your hotel in Chiang Ma about 8:00am

Visit The Royal Agricultural Project research station
Have lunch
Visit Wachiratharn Waterfall
Visit Siritharn Waterfall
Visit Karen hill tribe village
Return to your hotel in Chiang Mai about 7:30pm

Pick up from hotel about 7:30am
Visit Maekhajan hot springs
Visit old Chiang Saen city
Visit Golden Triangle
Have lunch
Visit border market at Mae Sai
Visit Yao hill tribe village
Visit Akha hill tribe village
Back to hotel about 9:00pm
