PT203: 3 Day Chiang Mai Highlands & Karen Long Neck tour

See the fascinating Karen Longneck (Padang) hill tribe on this tour. Originating from Burma's Highland state of Ka-Ya many groups moved over the border into Thailand in the mid eighties due to political problems, trade and later tourism. On this first day you will also get to explore the Chiang Dao cave system, visit Thaton temple overlooking the Kok River and see the cultivation of beautiful Thai Orchids. On the second day the morning will be spent on a trip to Chiang Mai’s, most famous temple, Doi Suthep. From its vantage point on the mountain behind Chiang Mai you will be able to see the whole city and the mountains beyond. The afternoon you can spend at your leisure and prepare for a night at the Old Chiang Mai Cultural Center where you can sit at Kantoke tables eating a selection of real Northern Thai food while being entertained by hill tribe dancers. The last day of the package will consist of a day in the beautiful Mae Wang area where you will ride elephants, bamboo raft, Ox carting, visit a waterfall and hill tribe villages.

Day 2
Pickup from your hotel in Chiang Mai.
Drive 45 minutes up the mountain.
Visit to a Meo hill tribe village.
Visit Doi Suthep temple.
Return to your hotel in Chiang Mai. about 12:00 noon
