PT204: 3 Day Top North Explorer Tour

Get ready for an early start on the first day of this 3 day package. You will be driven up towards Chiang Rai and The Golden Triangle via Maekhajan hot springs you will then proceed to Chiang Saen Old City where you will get to explore some of the old temples and artifacts. You will also have the chance to take a boat over the mighty Mekong River to the Lao side to pick up a few Laos souvenirs. You will see the Golden Triangle area the meeting point of Laos, Myanmar and Thailand. On the return you will stop of for a bit of border town shopping in Mae Sai and get to see the hills of Burma across the river. On the second day the morning will be spent on a trip to Chiang Mai’s, most famous temple, Doi Suthep. From its vantage point on the mountain behind Chiang Mai you will be able to see the whole city and the mountains beyond. The afternoon you can spend at your leisure and prepare for a night at the Old Chiang Mai Cultural Center where you can sit at Kantoke tables eating a selection of real Northern Thai food while being entertained by hill tribe dancers. The final day of this trip you will have the opportunity to get up close to some Thai elephants on an elephant safari you will also try your hand at Ox carting and bamboo rafting down the Mae Tang River.

Pickup from your hotel in Chiang Mai about 8:00am

Visit The Royal agricultural Project research station
Have lunch
Visit Wachiratharn Waterfall
Visit Siritharn Waterfall
Visit Karen hill tribe village
Return to your hotel in Chiang Mai about 5:30pm

Day 2
Pickup from your hotel in Chiang Mai 8:00am
Drive 45 minutes up the mountain.
Visit to a Meo hill tribe village.
Visit Doi Suthep temple.
Return to your hotel in Chiang Mai. about 12:00 noon
Afternoon at your leisure
19:30 Pickup from your hotel in Chiang Mai.
Kantoke dinner and Hill tribe show
21:30 Return to your hotel in Chiang Mai.

If you have another half day to spare then why not take the home industries tour and check out the craft areas of Sankampeng and Bosang to the East of Chiang Mai. As well as seeing the craftsmen and women at work you will also have the chance to pick up some bargains from the factory shops.
