PT206: 4 Day Chiang Mai Variety Tour

Tour Overview

If you have four days in Chiang Mai then this package will give you a good insight into all the sights and activities which make Chiang Mai famous. On the first day we will head out into the jungle in the beautiful Mae Wang area where we will spend some time walking to a waterfall. You will also get to visit a hill tribe village as well as try your hand at elephant riding and some bamboo rafting. A day in The Doi Inthanon National Park is also on the itinerary where you can view the park from the highest mountain in Thailand. Further highlights of the park include the spectacular Wachiratham and Siritham waterfalls. The third day will take you to Chiang Rai province and the Golden Triangle area the meeting points of Burma, Laos and Thailand. If you love the food in Thailand then we will teach you how to cook all your favourite Thai dishes and even supply you with a recepie book so you can prepare the same dishes when you get back home.

Walk to a Hmong hill tribe village
Elephant riding
Lunch
Visit Mae Sapok waterfall
Visit to a Karen hill tribe village
Bamboo rafting
Return to hotel in Chiang Mai 5:00pm

Day 2
Pickup from your hotel in Chiang Mai 8:00am
Drive 45 minutes up the mountain.
Visit to a Meo hill tribe village.
Visit Doi Suthep temple.
Return to your hotel in Chiang Mai. about 12:00 noon
Afternoon at your leisure
19:30 Pickup from your hotel in Chiang Mai.
Kantoke dinner and Hill tribe show
21:30 Return to your hotel in Chiang Mai.

Day 3
Pick up from hotel around 7:30am
Visit hot springs
Visit old Chiang Saen city
Visit Golden Triangle
Have lunch
Visit border market at Mae Sai
Visit Yao hill tribe village
Visit Akha hill tribe village
Back to hotel around 09:00pm

Meet you cooking teacher for the day
Fresh market tour to learn about Thai coking ingredients
Hands on cooking for the day (and eating)

Suggested extensions

If you have another half day to spare then why not take the home industries tour and check out the craft areas of Sankampeng and Bosang to the East of Chiang Mai. As well as seeing the craftsmen and women at work you will also have the chance to pick up some bargains from the factory shops.
