Experience whitewater rafting on the Mae Tang river 40km north of Chiang Mai. Rapids reach grades of 4+ at the height of the rainy season! The rafting course is a thrilling 10km ride through some of northern Thailand's most spectacular and stunning natural scenery.

Pick up from your hotel in Chiang Mai. around 10:00am
Drive north to the Mae tang Area
Refreshments and lunch at the rafting camp
Safety briefing and instruction
Commence rafting (approx 2 hours)
Return to Chiang Mai to your hotel/guesthouse around 4:30pm

Departures
These Whitewater trips depart Chiang Mai daily. Outside of the months of June to february please contact us first. Rafting can usually take place all year round but occasionally water levels are to low.
Transport
You will be picked up and dropped off at your hotel by air conditioned minibus
Guides
All trips are lead by seasoned guides and instructors. All speak English, are knowledgeable rafting guides and have been well trained in all rescue and first aid techniques.
Provisions
You will be provided with lunch at the rafting camp before the start of the whitewater rafting. Free tea and coffee is also provided
Safety
You will be led by seasoned and well trained rafting guides. Your safety is always the number one priority. A limited amount of accident insurance is provided to cover some medical bills in case of an injury but it is advised that you have your own comprehensive accident insurance. Before commencement of the white water rafting you will have a briefing on safety and navigation techniques.
What to wear
Wear a swim suit or shorts for the rafting and a t shirt if you choose. There is no footwear worn in the raft. You will be supplied with life jacket and safety helmet. After the days rafting you will need a change of dry clothes.
What to bring
You will need your swim suit, towel or sarong, sun cream, change of dry clothes, sandals.
