Come Join us on a 2 day trekking trip deep inside Thailand's,s premiere national Park, with its unique climate, flora and fauna. This trek will take you away from the usual trekking routes, past Hmong villages and deep into the park where you will stay in an un spoilt and rarely visited Karen Village nested on the mountain side. Visit the local hill tribe school and see how the local kiddies are taught. This is a nice intermediate trek for those looking for a genuine experience overnighting as a guest of a Karen family in a real Karen Village.
Day 1 - early Start and drive to a local market to stock up on trekking supplies for the two days, Drop by Doi Inthanon's most spectacular waterfall Mae Ya for a few pictures and then on to our trek drop off point. we will eat lunch then embark on the first leg of the trek into the park. we will hike for three hours passing Hmong villages, rice paddies and Inthanon's forest. Our final destination for the day will be a Karen Village where we will overnight. Your guise will prepare a meal for you.
Day 2 - We will awake early and have breakfast in the village before stating the second days trekking to a hidden gem - a seven tier waterfall which is rarely visited. The trekking will continue out of the forest to The Royal Agricultural project where you can see the important research work being carried out in support of the local hill tibe communities. We will then drive up to the peak of the Mountain 'Thailand's highest point' stopping by the Royal Pagodas for stunning views before making the drive back to Chiang Mai. |
