Day 1: Chiang Mai to Chiang Khong

• 10:30am Dep. from Chiang Mai by minibus (a/c)
• 16:00pm. Arr. at Chiang Khong & overnight at the guest house. Dinner included.

Day 2: Chiang Khong to Pakbeng Village (Laos)

• 07:30am. Breakfast at the guest house
• 08:30am Transfer to the border, take the boat crossing to Huay Xai, stamp Laos visa at the border.
• 10:00am Take the slow boat for 6-7 hours to Pakbeng Village,
• 17:00pm. Arrive at Pakbeng village and overnight here (pay for your own accommodation).

Day 3: Pakbeng Village to Luang Prabang

• 09:00 am Depart from Pakbeng village to Luang Prabang (Lunch not included)
• 17:00pm Arrive at Luang Prabang pier.

Note we are now offering the following accommodation options for the one night in Chiang Kong
Option 1 - Guest House in Chiang Kong with shared bathroom
Option 2 - Guest House in Chiang Kong with private bathroom
Option 3 - Chiang Kong Riverside Hotel with private bathroom

Please note that this is not a luxury travel package. The accommodation provided in Chiang Kong is basic, although you will find it clean (NOTE we now offer an upgraded accommodation package with a night at The Namkong Riverside hotel)r. The fast boat is a bit uncomfortable and noisy especially over a 7 hour trip (there is not much leg room). Also this is probably not the safest way to travel, you will be made to wear a crash helmet and life jacket. But if you are in a hurry to get to Luang Prabang then this boat will get you there....fast!. If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact us.
